Girish and Evan are the only ones who don't give the suck up answers. CCHIT is *harmful* in many instances (ask the developers in private, not in public...I know, I am one), wasting countless time developing features that many users will never use.

I am also sick of seeing "interoperability" and CCHIT used in the same sentence. The number of interoperability hoops someone has to jump through to be CCHIT certified are minimal and bogus. Too many people are misrepresenting what CCHIT certification really means.

And, as classic vendors, NOT ONE mentions the issues of training and support, the place where the real money should be going. They know that once they get their EMR hooks into a group, it's almost impossible to get them out, so let's focus on that initial hurdle and not pay any attention to the the REAL costs.
